Dilek Caner is a Master of Wine, a title currently held by 417 people around the world and only by 54 people in the U.S.
Early in her wine career, Dilek worked as Sommelier with Chef Sommelier Herve Pennequin at Restaurant Bruno Jamais and with Chef Sommelier Andre Compeyre at Restaurant Alain Ducasse in New York City. She then worked as Tastings Director and Associate Editor at Wine & Spirits Magazine. After teaching several classes at American Sommelier Association and Institute of Culinary Education, Dilek founded Tasting World. Currently, Tasting World operates as Dallas Wine Education Center in Texas.
In addition to the Master of Wine title, Dilek Caner has completed several additional programs and holds the Advanced Certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers, Certified Specialist of Wine (CSW) title from the Society of Wine Educators (SWE) and Master Napa Valley certificate from the Napa Valley Vintners Associaton.
Dilek also has a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University.
